My girls have no problem sitting for 30 minutes or longer so I can cover their heads with braids.
It isn't the braids they're after.
And it isn't some new funky cool fad. Whew!
For the girls it's all about the waves in their hair when the braids are taken out the next morning.
For me it's all about 30 minutes of time with each girl, who can't run off to do something else, chatting about their hopes, their friends, and their lives that are no longer completely tethered to Mom.
I hope they want wavy hair every day for the rest of their lives!
Christine
